In My Mailbox is a thing created by The Story Siren in which you go through the books you’ve received in your mail box to read and review. I’m so thankful to the book companies and authors who thought to send me books. I wanted to split it up a bit and show you guys a few at a time.
1. Three Weeks in December by Audrey Schulman
I received this book from Europa Editions. From the back cover, I know it follows the stories of two men traveling to Africa seperated by time. The first is traveling during 1899 to British East Africa and the second is traveling to Rwanda during 2000. The story revolves around how they are similar and different in their travels. You can find out more about it here.
2. As Above So Below: A Channeled, Assisted, Unfolding Story by Jeffery M. Borowski
I received this book from the author, himself. From the back cover, I know that it’s about a writer trying to write his first novel. It’s about the things he has to over come to become a better writer. You can find out more about it here.
3. The Prisoner of Heaven by Carols Ruiz Zafón
I received this book from Harper Books. From the back cover, I know it is the third installment among The Shadow of the Wind and The Angel’s Game. It is also to deal more with the Cemetery of Forgotten Books. You can find out more about it here.
4. Mrs. Queen Takes the Train by William Kuhn
I received this book from Harper Collins. From the back cover, I know it’s about Queen Elizabeth taking a journey to escape her castle life for a short vacation. It’s also to be more about how she feels about herself and her own thoughts. You can find out more about it here.
I love that Carols Ruiz Zafón cover! It looks more like Lemony Snicket-ish. I have the first book – which everyone raves about – but I haven’t read it yet.
I love the cover so much! I’d really recommend the first one. I wrote a review for it a while ago. It’s just a book for book lovers, really. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the second and third ones in the series, though.
Ooh really? I haven’t really read anything about the other two.
